Char Dham Yatra: The Religious Peaceful Place for Happiness
Char Dham Yatra is a religious journey to the four pious abodes located in the state of Uttarakhand. The state government has starts this Char Dham Yatra tour package with the motive of leading people to feel the presence of the Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and the Omniscient. The visit to the four pilgrim sites- Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri holds great significance among the Hindus. All these pious spots are nestled in the lap of the great Himalayas. Each of these sacred sites has a unique story of its own. One can read about the ancient stories related to them in Vedas and Puranas.
Kedarnath is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the creator of these four abodes, Adi Shankracharya, attained freedom from his body in Kedarnath. Badrinath is located in the Chamoli district and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is located in vicinity to the Hemkund Sahib. Both Gangotri and Yamnotri are situated in the Uttarkashi district and are dedicated to the river goddesses Ganga and Yamuna respectively. It is because of these four world famous pilgrim spots that Uttarakhand is also called Dev Bhumi which means the “Land of Gods”. At present, there are many Char Dham tour packages by Helicopter. Apart from this the Char Dham Yatra packages will give you a glimpse of shrines, beautiful rocks carved out by the flowing rivers, and divine tales by local residents. Char Dham Yatra from Ahmadabad will begin at Delhi. From Delhi the tour will continue for a period of about 11 days.
